This is a full-time Monday - Friday position with traditional daytime hours. Pre-Employment Specialists earn $22/hour.
Responsibilities- Support and provide instructional training for participants to prepare them for competitive employment.
- Manage a caseload of up to 5-8 individuals.
- Prepare and submit documentation and paperwork according to established time frames and guidelines.
- Foster relationships and maintain clear, ongoing communication with participants and families, internal teams, and funders.
- Build a professional network and beneficial contacts across the business community.
- Maintain a balance of billable and nonbillable time at 85% or higher throughout the fiscal year.

- STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENT ASSISTANCE
- Full-Time hourly direct care staff may be eligible for up to $250 per month paid directly to their student loan vendor. Ask your recruiter for details.
The flexible, respectful individual we see is an innovative and quick thinker with these qualifications:
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience—preferably supporting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
- Some college education; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Basic knowledge of employment laws.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Solid time-management, communication, decision-making, and negotiation skills—to ensure the provision of safe, high-quality support.
- Effective, professional communication skills.
- Familiarity with word processing software, database products, email, and smartphones.
- Ability to obtain CPR/first aid certification—provided by St. Louis Arc at no cost.
