Special Education Teacher

Exciting opportunity for a passionate Special Education Teacher to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. This full-time, contract position supports a small group of K-2 students, providing individualized instruction and support in a welcoming school environment near vibrant Saint Louis, MO. With a caseload of just 5-7 students, you’ll be able to offer focused interventions that truly impact each child’s growth and development.

Desired Experience &

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
• Comfortable working with elementary-aged children, specifically grades K-2
• Strong ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Team-oriented approach; ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, monitor, and update student IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Conduct assessments and adapt curriculum to ensure accessibility for all students
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and goals
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
