Are you passionate about literacy, representation, and community?

The Eye See Me  Foundation is looking for a motivated Summer Operations & Outreach Assistant to help us expand our impact.

Based in St. Louis, the Eye See Me  Foundation is dedicated to ensuring every child sees their own history and potential reflected in the books they read. This summer, we are scaling our outreach to schools and community partners—and we need your help to keep the momentum going!

You will be an integral part of our team, helping with:

• Community Outreach: Acting as a point of contact for school book fair inquiries and community partnerships. You will help us prepare for the  school year by coordinating outreach to our partners.
• The Grant Research Project: Identifying potential mission‑aligned grant opportunities to fuel our growth.
• Digital Storytelling: Helping us create our Instagram posts and Newsletter campaigns. You will be work with us to help us to engage our community.
• Foundation Ops: Managing our shared Todoist board to keep our non-profit goals on track.
• Calendar and Inbox Management: Managing the Foundation inbox and responding in a timely matter. You will also be responsible for creating and managing the Foundation calendar items.
• Event Support (Optional): Local to STL? You’re invited to join us on the front lines at summer book fairs and local book events!

• Impact Local & National Literacy: Your work directly helps put "mirror and window" books into the hands of under-served children across St. Louis and the nation.
• Small Monthly Stipend: We value your time! Receive a small stipend to help cover your summer costs.
• Build Your Own Library: Get a monthly credit to the Eye See Me  store to pick out books for your own collection.
• Add Experience To Your Resume: This role fits well for any upcoming professional, and is a great addition to any resume. You will also receive a personalized letter of recommendation from our Founder, upon request.
• Upskill: After 3 months, we’ll sponsor a professional certification course (Digital Marketing, Non‑Profit Mgmt, etc.) to boost your resume for the fall.

• An upcoming professional or student (or lifelong learner!) with a heart for diversity in education.
• A self-starter who is comfortable with digital tools like Google Workspace and Todoist.
• A clear, professional communicator who can handle emails with grace and enthusiasm.
• Someone who wants to look back on their summer and know they helped put life‑changing books into the hands of children.
