Math Long-term Substitute (High School)
This position is for a long term substitute providing coverage starting as soon as possible through the end of October 2026.
Essential functions:
This position will have an emphasis on Advanced Algebra II and Geometry. Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning. Designs learning activities to demonstrate the application of mathematics to everyday life, focusing on critical thinking skills, collaboration, and problem solving. Maximizes assessment strategies to promote student learning and growth in all aspects of the curriculum.
Collaborates with other professional staff members and participates in faculty meetings and committees. Education and/or experience:
Missouri Teacher Certification in Math 9-12 preferred Active Substitute Certification is the minimal requirement Compensation:
The daily rate for individuals with a substitute certification is $175/day. There is a higher rate for certified, retired teachers.
