Job Description

Embrace an opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting students across K-12 classrooms in a dynamic educational setting. We are seeking dedicated paraprofessional candidates for contract positions for the upcoming school year, starting August 25 and running through May 28. Flexible professionals are invited to apply, as openings include roles in 22 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, and 5 high schools, providing support in special education (SPED) settings as well as general classrooms.

Desired Skills &

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a paraprofessional or in related school support roles
• Flexible and adaptable to varying assignments and classroom needs (including 1:1 and general support)
• Comfortable assisting with toileting, changing, and behavioral support
• Holds an active Missouri Substitute Certificate, or has passed the Para Pro Exam with transcripts on file (verification via DESE website required)
• Willingness to work across multiple school sites and grade levels
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in academic and daily activities, including students with disabilities
• Provide individualized and small group instruction under teacher direction
• Assist with classroom management, behavioral interventions, and basic care needs
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students
• Follow school protocols and ensure confidentiality of student information

Schedules vary:
Middle School: 7:00am–2:30pm
High School: 7:30am–3:00pm
Elementary: 8:30am–4:00pm or 9:00am–4:30pm

Candidates will have a brief pre-screen with our team and a second interview via Zoom with district leadership. Preference given to those ready to move seamlessly into roles and able to float between classrooms as needed.
