Position Overview

At KIPP St. Louis you will work with students and school teams to identify and support students who need extra support. You come every day equipped to improve student outcomes, identify and support students in small groups, and create targeted plans for student success! You’ll collaborate with classroom teachers, the student support team, and school administrators to identify and support students to find their pathway to the futures they choose.

Job Description

At KIPP St. Louis, we believe every moment in a child’s day should be filled with growth, curiosity, and joy—even before the first bell and after the last! Our Before & After Care Program is all about extending the magic of learning beyond the school day in a safe, structured, and fun environment where students can thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.

As the Site Coordinator, you’ll be the heartbeat of the program—leading daily operations, building joyful routines, supporting staff, and connecting with families. You’ll help create a space where every child feels seen, supported, and excited to be there. Reporting to the Before & After Care Program Manager, this role also plays a key part in advancing KIPP St. Louis’ community work—breaking down barriers to access, fostering belonging, and embracing culturally responsive practices that reflect the brilliance of our kids and community.

10 Month;
Grant Funded – Part‑time role, 20–25 hours.

What you will do

Program Leadership

  • Oversee the daily execution of a safe, joyful, and well‑organized Before & After Care program.
  • Lead and manage program staff, including scheduling, role clarity, and performance support.
  • Guide and support the planning of small‑group experiences for Reading, Math, or Social‑Emotional Learning specialists that strengthen students’ academic and social‑emotional development.
  • Ensure all systems for arrival, transitions, dismissal, and emergency response run smoothly and reliably.

Staff Experience

  • Champion a positive and inclusive environment grounded in KIPP’s values of equity, joy, and excellence.
  • Establish and reinforce consistent routines that create a strong sense of safety, belonging, and student ownership.
  • Respond to behavior using proactive, student‑centered strategies rooted in restorative practices.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth program delivery, including attendance tracking, student transitions, and facility management.
  • Oversee daily meal and snack service in compliance with Missouri CACFP guidelines by ensuring accurate meal counts, proper food handling, required documentation, and adherence to all state and federal program requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe, supportive, and accessible environment for all students.
  • Manage program budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and expand access for historically marginalized students.
