Job DescriptionPart‑time SNAP Special Education Teacher
As a part‑time Special Education Teacher serving Special School District’s (SSD) Special Non‑Public Access Program (SNAP), you will provide individualized instruction and support for students attending private, parochial, and home schools throughout St. Louis County. Using your expertise in the special education process and differentiated instruction, you will assess student needs, develop individualized educational programming, and collaborate with families and educational teams to ensure students have meaningful access to learning.
Through your commitment to inclusive practices and student‑centered support, you will help students build skills, achieve their goals, and reach their full potential.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, specialization in special education preferred
- Classroom experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) teaching certificate in one or more areas of special education required
Salary
- $42/hour
Calendar
- 10‑month school year (August to June), exact dates dependent on assigned location(s)
