Position: Campus Staff Minister - Washington University in St. Louis (Graduate & Faculty Ministry)
Location: St. Louis

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Pursue spiritual growth through Scripture, prayer, worship, self-leadership, and adherence to Scriptural standards.
  • Increase the number, size, health, spiritual maturity, and campus-wide influence of witnessing communities among students and faculty.
  • Serve as a visionary guide by communicating and modeling Inter Varsity’s vision and core values, leading students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship.
  • Set annual goals with teams for qualitative and quantitative growth, including conversions and leadership development.
  • Act as a structural architect by creating and aligning ministry plans, programs, teams, and structures to achieve goals.
  • Build leadership teams demonstrating spiritual vitality, relational health, and mission alignment.
  • Mobilize students and faculty to engage their networks with the gospel and start new missional communities.
  • Supervise Ministry Interns and Campus Ministry Interns as delegated by the Area Director.
  • Function as a missional developer by gathering and developing diverse groups to follow Jesus and advance the campus mission.
  • Create opportunities for faculty and students to encounter Jesus through Scripture, worship, prayer, mission experiences, and conferences.
  • Equip students and faculty to think strategically about campus engagement and proclaim the good news of Jesus.
  • Disciple students and faculty to grow in Christlikeness, reflect core values, and develop ministry skills.
  • Invite, coach, and equip students and faculty to become effective participants and leaders.
  • Collaborate with local, area, regional, and national Inter Varsity staff and volunteers, adhering to biblical standards of excellence and integrity.
  • Partner with supervisors and national leaders, contribute to team meetings, and comply with Inter Varsity policies.
  • Develop a team of ministry partners to resource the ministry financially, in prayer, and volunteer service.
  • Raise 100% of the assigned financial budget through partnership development.
  • Communicate regularly with ministry partners through visits, calls, emails, and prayer letters.
  • Identify and invest in advocates to build networks of volunteers and donors.
  • Complete all assigned tasks as appropriate.
About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Annual affirmation of Inter Varsity’s Statement of Agreement, Code of Conduct, Human Sexuality Theological Paper, and Women in Ministry Statement of Affimation.
  • Bachelor’s degree required for four-year campus assignments; minimum Associate’s degree for two-year or community college campuses.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $44,016.00 - $58,680.00 per year, prorated for part-time work and dependent on fundraising ability.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

The role involves ministry leadership in a college campus environment with possible designated office space. Travel to on-campus and off-campus sites is required, including conferences, meetings, and training sessions. Regular communication and use of standard office equipment are expected.
