Role Description

The Medical Faculty role is an on-site position located in St. Louis, MO. The individual in this role will deliver high-quality instruction to medical and health sciences students through lectures, small-group sessions, labs, and clinical teaching. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and updating course materials, assessing student performance, providing academic advising and mentorship, and participating in curriculum development and review. The Medical Faculty will also contribute to scholarly activities such as research, publications, and presentations, as well as serve on committees and support accreditation and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Collaboration with colleagues, engagement in interprofessional education, and participation in community and outreach activities are expected components of this role.

Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in medicine or health sciences (MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in medical education, including classroom and/or clinical teaching.
  • Strong foundation in relevant medical or basic science disciplines and evidence-based practice.
  • Ability to design, deliver, and evaluate courses using contemporary teaching methods and technology-enhanced learning.
  • Commitment to inclusive pedagogy and the ability to work effectively with learners and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Experience with scholarly activities such as research, publications, grants, or professional presentations is highly beneficial.
  • Willingness to participate in committee work, accreditation processes, and continuous program improvement.
  • Eligibility for appropriate professional licensure or certification, if applicable to the discipline.
  • Previous academic or clinical experience in U.S. or international medical education settings is a plus.
