Position Summary The Associate Dean for Graduate and International Law provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the School of Law’s graduate and international law programs. The Associate Dean advances the school’s mission by supporting graduate legal education, international student recruitment and success, global partnerships, alumni engagement, and program quality. The position works closely with faculty, school leadership, university partners, and external stakeholders to strengthen the school’s global reach and ensure excellence in graduate and international law education.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Graduate and International Law Program Leadership Provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and external visibility for the School of Law’s graduate and international law programs.
Oversee academic and administrative operations for graduate law degree programs, which may include LL.M., S.J.D./J.S.D., certificate, visiting scholar, exchange, and related programs.
Collaborate with faculty and school leadership to ensure academic quality, program effectiveness, and alignment with the school’s mission and priorities.
Support curriculum planning, program assessment, and continuous improvement efforts for graduate and international law offerings.
Supervise assigned staff and coordinate with university offices to support program delivery and student success.
International Recruitment, Admissions, and Student Success Lead strategic recruitment and yield initiatives for international graduate law students.
Partner with admissions, marketing, communications, and university offices to strengthen international pipelines and enhance the visibility of the school’s graduate programs.
Support admissions strategy, including review of international applicant trends, credential evaluation practices, and enrollment goals.
Collaborate with relevant offices to support onboarding, orientation, academic advising coordination, and student success for international graduate law students.
Serve as a key point of contact for issues affecting international students, including coordination related to immigration, visa, and compliance matters as appropriate.
Global Partnerships and External Engagement Develop and sustain strategic relationships with international universities, legal institutions, professional organizations, and other external partners.
Lead or support the creation of exchange agreements, collaborative academic initiatives, visiting scholar opportunities, and other global partnerships.
Represent the School of Law in global legal education networks and other external forums to advance the school’s international profile.
Build relationships that support student mobility, faculty collaboration, research opportunities, and institutional visibility.
Career Development, Alumni Engagement, and Advancement Collaborate with career services and other partners to support the professional development of graduate and international law students.
Promote alumni engagement, mentoring, and networking opportunities for graduate and international law alumni.
Support fundraising and donor engagement efforts related to graduate and international law programs.
Work with school and university advancement teams to strengthen external support for student scholarships, programming, and strategic initiatives.
Contribute to efforts that enhance the school’s reputation and global alumni network.
Strategic Planning, Budget, and Assessment Participate as a member of the school’s leadership team and provide strategic counsel on matters affecting graduate and international law programs.
Develop, monitor, and oversee the budget for assigned programs and initiatives.
Use data and assessment tools to evaluate enrollment, retention, student outcomes, partnership effectiveness, and program performance.
Work with school leadership to identify priorities, set short- and long-term goals, and implement strategic initiatives.
Provide regular reporting and recommendations to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned.
