The University of Missouri-St. Louis invites applicants for three Assistant Professor tenure-track positions in Clinical Psychology and/or Psychological and Brain Sciences. The area of research specialization is open and could include social, cognitive, affective, advanced quantitative or qualitative methodologies/data sciences, health disparities and equity, developmental, psychopharmacology, sleep, trauma/PTSD, addiction science, clinical interventions, etc. Across any research specialization, we are particularly interested in candidates who have translational work, are using advanced quantitative/computational approaches, apply community-based research methods, and/or working with vulnerable populations.
Ideal candidates will have research and teaching expertise that can serve and benefit one or both of our two graduate programs;
Clinical Psychology and Psychological and Brain Sciences.
Preferred candidates will have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, neuroscience, or a related area within the field. The area of specialization in terms of research and teaching expertise is open. We seek scholars with a strong research program, who have existing extramural funding for their research or the potential to attract extramural funding, and a commitment to excellent mentoring and teaching.
The ability to complement and expand the current strengths of Psychological Sciences faculty is essential. We want to continue the strong foundation of curricular and research synergy between the Clinical Psychology and Psychological & Brain Sciences groups within our department.
