Position Summary:

The Secondary Coordinator – Comprehensive School Improvement leads and supports the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the school’s Continuous School Improvement Plan (CSIP). This position will lead the School Improvement Advisory Committee in monitoring progress, supporting the implementation of identified action steps, and ensuring school improvement strategies are implemented with fidelity and focused on achieving measurable outcomes. Through collaboration with school administrators, teachers, students, families, and district staff, the Specialist/Supervisor provides targeted support to strengthen evidence-based teaching and learning, improve school culture and climate, increase student engagement and attendance, and ensure continuous improvement efforts translate into improved student outcomes.

Essential Functions:

• Supports the implementation and monitoring of the school's Continuous School Improvement Plan (CSIP).
• Collaborates with school leadership to implement evidence-based strategies aligned with school improvement goals and district priorities.
• Provides instructional support through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, classroom demonstrations, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Leads the School Improvement Advisory Committee, facilitating regular progress monitoring, reviewing implementation evidence and outcome data, identifying barriers, and coordinating adjustments to school improvement action steps as needed.
• Partners with school leadership, teachers, and support staff to strengthen instructional practices, school culture and climate, attendance, and student achievement.
• Assists in the collection, analysis, and use of academic, attendance, behavior, and implementation data to inform decision-making and measure progress toward school improvement goals.
• Collects, organizes, and maintains documentation demonstrating the implementation, fidelity, and impact of school improvement initiatives, including evidence of progress toward CSIP goals and student outcomes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
:

• Knowledge of Continuous School Improvement Planning (CSIP), school improvement processes, and evidence-based practices.
• Knowledge of effective instructional strategies, curriculum implementation, and intervention practices.
• Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and strategies that promote positive school culture and climate.
• Ability to provide instructional support through modeling, co-planning, co-teaching, classroom demonstrations, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Ability to analyze academic, attendance, behavior, and implementation data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
• Ability to facilitate collaborative meetings and build the capacity of school teams to implement school improvement initiatives.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with administrators, teachers, students, families, and community partners.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and meet established deadlines.

Experience:

• A minimum of three years of certified teaching experience (required)
