Applicants must hold an associate degree or completion of at least 48 college credit hours is preferred. Prior experience working with children or individuals with special needs is highly desirable. Those who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.

State and Federal Requirements:

• Associate degree or higher preferred
• Must meet Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) paraprofessional requirements (such as passing a paraprofessional assessment if applicable)
• Background check and fingerprint clearance per district guidelines
• Authorization to work in the United States

Job Description:

• Assist teachers in delivering instructional support to students
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, including those with special needs
• Support classroom management and help maintain a positive learning environment
• Assist with implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) under teacher direction
• Help with daily classroom tasks, preparation of materials, and supervision
• Provide behavioral and academic support as needed
