Overview
CDG Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer in St. Louis, Missouri.
Responsibilities include experience in researching project and engineering problems, contacting industry vendors, checking and marking up shop drawings, performing steel and concrete design for building and non-building structures, developing construction documents, and performing site visits to determine solutions to engineering problems.
They will also need experience being an effective contributor in multidisciplinary teams, capable of managing and delivering on multiple concurrent projects.
Responsibilities- Researching project and engineering problems
- Contacting industry vendors
- Checking and marking up shop drawings
- Performing steel and concrete design for building and non-building structures
- Develop construction documents
- Performing site visits to determine solutions to engineering problems
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- 4 years of Structural or Civil Engineer experience (not including academic experience)
- Experience with Engineering codes (IBC, ASCE-7, ACI 318)
- Design software experience (RISA-3D, STAAD, Excel, Lpile, ENERCALC) – 4 years minimum
- Advanced experience with Revit, AutoCAD, ReCap (4 years minimum)
- Advanced experience in industrial and utility projects (4 years minimum)
- Experience in gypsum, coal storage, and chemical processing
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
