Key Responsibilities- Create accurate CAD models, drawings, patterns, and construction documents.
- Ensure CAD files are compatible with cutting room, router, and shop workflows.
- Produce drawings for fabrication, assemblies, BOMs, layouts, and exploded views.
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure drawings align with job requirements.
- Perform some field measurements and translate site conditions into accurate patterns.
- Support production by troubleshooting design issues and updating drawings.
- Maintain logs of job numbers, drawing numbers, and time spent on projects.
- Read and interpret job tickets and ensure design outputs match specifications.
- Special projects and team assignments as required.
- Associate degree in drafting, design, engineering technology, or equivalent experience.
- CAD‑related degree preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Experience with CAD software such as MPanel and Cutting Edge.
- Strong understanding of building/structural principles and fabrication processes.
- High proficiency with Windows PC environments; strong computer and basic networking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and conceptual design skills.
- Comfort with sewing and fabric handling (preferred but can be trained).
