Industrial HVAC Engineer

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for an Industrial HVAC Engineer in the Food & Beverage Group.

Responsibilities:

* Conducting job-site surveys of food and beverage plant HVAC systems

* Define system sanitary requirements for food production spaces

* Determine equipment technology and strategies for moisture control and energy reduction

* Produce food process area heat load calculations for production, downtime, and cleanup modes

* Create psychrometric calculations and charts for food process area conditions

* Develop instrument points list and sequence of operation

* Developing project documentation including drawings, air flow diagrams, equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.;

* Coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.

* Frequent (30-40%) travel will be required.

The successful candidate will have:

* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.

* At least four years of relevant industrial HVAC engineering experience

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

* On-site experience integrating equipment into existing systems

* Specification of sanitary air handling equipment

* Experience developing Air Flow Diagrams for food and/or industrial projects

* Proficiency in MS Office software

* Experience mentoring less experienced staff

* Food plant experience

* PE

* Experience running load calculations

* Comfortable with leading project specific client contact

Salary range: $95,000 - $115,000 - (Commensurate with experience)
