We are seeking an experienced MES System Analyst to support the configuration, enhancement, integration, and ongoing operation of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of MES applications and supporting manufacturing systems. The successful candidate will act as a key technical resource bridging manufacturing operations, engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and compliant system functionality.

The role also includes supporting manufacturing network infrastructure and associated applications that enable production execution and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities MES System Configuration & Development
  • Plan, design, develop, install, configure, and enhance the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Manage MES workflows, master data, product specifications, and data collection structures.
  • Configure system settings and parameters to support manufacturing processes and product requirements.
  • Develop and maintain MES interfaces with SAP, test equipment, and other manufacturing systems.
  • Support MES integration activities for new product introductions and process changes.
Production Support & System Operations
  • Provide daily production support for MES applications, ensuring system availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
  • MES transactions and user interfaces
  • SAP integration points
  • Electrical test and manufacturing equipment interfaces
  • Database and reporting functions
  • Participate in rotational 24/7 on-call support for critical manufacturing system issues.
Integration, Testing & Validation
  • Plan and execute integration and acceptance testing for MES changes and enhancements.
  • Author, execute, and document software validation activities in compliance with regulated industry standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation and traceability for all system changes and releases.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with manufacturing engineers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to define system requirements.
  • Translate operational needs into system functionality and technical solutions.
  • Build consensus across teams to ensure MES solutions align with business and manufacturing objectives.
Infrastructure & Application Support
  • Support manufacturing network infrastructure including routers, switches, servers, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Assist with firewall configuration, routing, and switching to optimize performance and security.
  • Monitor system and network performance and proactively troubleshoot issues.
  • Support Windows-based environments (Windows 7/10/Server).
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (
    medical device preferred
    ).
  • Experience supporting or implementing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience supporting automation or manufacturing test equipment integration
  • MES platforms (
    preferred: Rockwell Factory Talk Pharma Suite v8.0+)
  • SQL databases (development or DBA-level knowledge preferred)
  • Exposure to network and infrastructure troubleshooting in production environments
  • Programming/scripting: , Java, or similar object-oriented languages
  • Web technologies: IIS and/or Web Sphere
  • XML data structures and interfaces
  • Windows operating systems (Windows 7, 10+, Windows Server)
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
  • Active Directory administration (Domain Admin experience preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system and manufacturing issues
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a regulated, documentation-heavy environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong validation and compliance mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment
  • Be available for rotational 24/7 technical support to work manufacturing issues.
  • Interaction with production environments requiring adherence to GMP and quality standards
