About the Internship
Copeland is offering a 3–4 month paid internship in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering. The program is designed to give interns real-world experience and contribute to sustainable solutions that benefit people and the planet.
The Team & RoleWorking with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, you will improve the skills you learned in the classroom by balancing the priorities of multiple engineering teams and projects. You will collaborate with different departments—including Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Sales, Materials, and Management—in a manufacturing, lab, or office setting. Your responsibilities combine individual tasks with collaborative group projects in Sidney, OH and St. Louis, MO.

- Summer – 5/18/26 – 8/14/26
- Fall – 8/17/26 – 12/18/26
- Design Engineering – Create 3D models and drawings for tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing. Work alongside experienced design professionals and gain exposure to 3D printing and automation design.
- Advanced Manufacturing – Contribute to process improvement, audits, and manufacturing development projects. Gain experience with data analysis, lab prototyping equipment, and design software for real‑world applications.
- Process & Equipment Development – Assist with new product launches, plant layouts, and equipment implementation. Apply Lean principles, participate in PFMEAs, and help qualify manufacturing processes.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong interest in manufacturing, process improvement, or product design.
- Skills or coursework in CAD/3D modeling, machining, data analysis, Lean/continuous improvement, or automation.
- Anticipated graduation in May 2027.
