Technical Service Advisor - Commercial HVAC

A well-established, privately held HVAC manufacturer's representative in the St. Louis area is seeking a Technical Service Advisor to support commercial HVAC applied products across the region. This role is ideal for someone with a deep commercial HVAC background who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting customers in the field, and serving as a trusted resource for equipment application, troubleshooting, and training.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for commercial HVAC equipment and applied systems
- Assist customers and internal teams with equipment selection and application support
- Lead product training sessions covering equipment operation, installation, startup, and troubleshooting
- Support field service activities, including jobsite visits and corrective action recommendations
- Maintain proficiency with related HVAC controls and equipment technologies
- Partner with engineering, inside sales, and service teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Assist with warranty support and technical documentation
- Stay current on product updates, service bulletins, and manufacturer certifications
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional support efforts
- Strong commercial HVAC experience is required
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC equipment operation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair
- Experience interpreting construction specifications, technical manuals, and equipment documentation
- Ability to diagnose equipment failures and identify replacement components
- Comfortable interacting directly with contractors, engineers, and end users
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- OSHA safety training or related field safety experience preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the region as needed
