Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Providing infrastructure security, compliance, and vulnerability management across hybrid cloud and on‑prem environments, under the direction of the Manager of System Architecture.
• Ensuring systems are secure, up to date, and aligned with risk, audit, and compliance requirements while supporting long‑term infrastructure strategy.
• Leading vulnerability remediation, patching, system hardening, and backup integrity initiatives, coordinating with infrastructure, security, end‑user technology, and application teams to drive timely resolution.
• Providing Tier 3 infrastructure support and escalated incident resolution, including complex system analysis, design, and deployment.
• Owning the vulnerability remediation program, leading server patching and update processes.
• Implementing hardening standards across Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms, supporting security posture across Azure and on‑prem compute, storage, and networking environments.
• Overseeing backup platforms, validating recovery capabilities, and participating in disaster recovery testing.
• Retiring legacy environments, transitioning to modern server management practices, automating system configuration and monitoring, and supporting infrastructure‑related incident response.
• Partnering with security and leadership to address audit findings, risk items, and compliance requirements, continuously identifying and driving improvements in infrastructure security, patching, and vulnerability management processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or a related role, with a strong focus on security and vulnerability management.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or other cloud providers.
• 5+ years of experience with operating systems, with an emphasis on Windows Server platforms.
• 5+ years of experience with VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix, or other hypervisor platforms.
• 5+ years of experience with enterprise storage solutions.
• 5+ years of experience with standard enterprise server architecture.
• 5+ years of experience with Enterprise Identity Management.
• Strong experience with Windows Server administration.
• Experience with vulnerability management and patching tools (e.g., Qualys, Microsoft Defender, SCCM, or similar).
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Cohesity or similar platforms).
• Familiarity with Microsoft security ecosystem (Defender, Sentinel, Entra ) preferred.
• Power Shell scripting or automation experience preferred.
