Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer to support a growing engineering team in St. Louis. This individual will work closely with Project Managers to support project execution across civil and structural projects, including roadway, bridge, and large-scale development work. The ideal candidate has strong technical experience, can manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and is comfortable working cross-functionally throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering projects
• Develop and review project scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure alignment with requirements
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to drive project deliverables
• Review project documents for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards
• Assist in proposal development and technical documentation for new projects
• Lead or support project meetings and communicate updates with clients and stakeholders
• Ensure projects meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Stay up to date on new engineering practices, tools, and technologies
• Support both civil and structural project work (roads, bridges, utilities, and developments)

• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience (or equivalent at Staff Engineer level)
• Experience supporting project scope, schedule, and budget management
• Strong understanding of civil or structural engineering principles
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, or similar tools
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively working toward licensure (EIT candidates encouraged)
• Experience with roadway, bridge, utility, or large-scale development projects
• Membership in professional or technical organizations
• Experience leading meetings or presenting to clients
