Job DescriptionOlsson is seeking a Power Systems Engineer with PSCAD EMT modeling experience to support large‑scale data center projects and utility interconnections. This role focuses on building and validating PSCAD models that demonstrate reliable grid performance and meet utility requirements. The engineer will work closely with internal teams, utilities, and equipment manufacturers to evaluate system behavior during faults, voltage and frequency disturbances, and weak‑grid conditions, and to support model reviews through commissioning.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex, high‑impact projects while delivering practical solutions that support grid reliability and client needs.

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in power system studies with hands‑on PSCAD EMT modeling.
- Understanding of power‑electronics‑based loads (UPS, VFDs, converters) and grid interconnection requirements.
- Experience supporting utility or ISO reviews preferred.
- Strong technical writing and collaboration skills.
- Licensed Engineer.
