Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 + Profit Sharing + ESOP

This is a leadership‑level design role for an experienced Electrical or MEP Engineer who thrives on technical depth, client interaction, and mentoring junior engineers. You’ll lead sophisticated power and lighting system design while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver mission‑critical projects with precision and excellence.
What You’ll DoLead Electrical System Design
- Design power distribution, lighting (interior & exterior), lighting controls, fire alarm, low-voltage, A/V, and specialty systems
- Produce detailed construction documents (drawings & specifications)
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and applicable codes
Own Projects from Concept Through Construction
- Serve as Electrical Design Lead on assigned projects
- Advise clients on system options balancing performance, safety, and cost
- Conduct site visits and validate existing conditions
Support construction teams to ensure design intent is fully executed
Collaborate & Mentor
- Direct Designers, Drafters, and junior Engineers
- Coordinate seamlessly with internal and external disciplines
- Resolve complex design challenges with minimal oversight
- Support electrical project budgeting, scheduling, and documentation standards
- B.S.E.E. from an accredited university or equivalent experience required;
Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
. - 6+ years of electrical engineering design experience—preferably involving building power, lighting, and systems for commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities.
- Hands‑on experience with equipment selection and systems troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices,
NFPA standards, and the National Electric Code (NEC). - Experience using Bluebeam and industry tools such as SKM, Aspen, and/or Easy Power
. - Ability to read and interpret both 2D and 3D drawings accurately.
