Are you an engineer who has spent your career improving manufacturing processes, leading engineering projects, supporting safety and compliance initiatives, driving equipment reliability improvements, or managing technical change programs?
We are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to support large-scale engineering, compliance, and operational improvement initiatives within a highly regulated manufacturing and technology environment.
This role is ideal for experienced Mechanical Engineers, Industrial Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Engineering Project Managers, Plant Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Continuous Improvement professionals who enjoy working across engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams to solve complex business and technical challenges.
The position begins as a contract engagement with strong potential for long-term employment. After converting to full-time direct-hire employment, the company will have to initiate a security clearance process.
Responsibilities- Leading engineering improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance, safety, reliability, and efficiency
- Coordinating technical projects involving equipment upgrades, process improvements, engineering changes, and operational enhancements
- Supporting engineering governance activities to ensure technical standards, documentation, and compliance requirements are maintained
- Working closely with manufacturing, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to identify and resolve recurring issues
- Driving root cause investigations and corrective action programs
- Supporting engineering reviews, audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives
- Improving asset reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle performance
- Managing engineering documentation, specifications, procedures, and change-control activities
- Monitoring performance metrics and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Communicating project status, technical risks, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, maintenance, reliability, or technical project leadership roles
- Experience leading engineering projects or cross-functional improvement initiatives
- Experience working within regulated or standards-driven environments (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, OSHA, EPA, or similar compliance programs)
- Exposure to engineering compliance programs, engineering audits, engineering quality systems, safety programs, or technical governance processes
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations, industrial equipment, production facilities, transportation systems, fleet operations, or complex engineered assets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple departments
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills
