Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer 3 to support a leading aerospace client onsite in St. Louis, MO. This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to next-generation aircraft programs focused on shaping the future of aerospace innovation.
Responsibilities of the Senior Structural Analysis Engineer:
* Lead the development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to support system design and performance
* Analyze and verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element modeling (FEM), and advanced simulation tools
* Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to define and validate the operational environment and system characteristics
* Drive design validation efforts through development of test plans, execution support, and detailed reporting of results
* Ensure compliance by documenting certification data and test outcomes for regulatory and customer requirements
* Lead investigations into in-service structural failures and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Develop and enhance analysis tools and processes to improve efficiency and quality across the product lifecycle
* Operate with a high level of autonomy under minimal supervision
Qualifications of the Senior Structural Analysis Engineer:
Required:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical field (ABET preferred)
* 10+ years of structural analysis experience
* 8+ years of aerospace experience, including analysis of primary structures, subsystems, or weapons systems
* Strong experience with:
* Hand calculations
* CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX/Teamcenter, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Pro-E)
* FEM tools (e.g., NASTRAN/PATRAN, Abaqus, Hyperworks, Stress check)
* Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
* Experience with (CAESAR, Lifeworks, Mechanica, Common Structures Workstation)
Additional Requirements:
* Must be able to work 100% onsite in the Greater St. Louis area
* Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance
