Lead Field Project Engineer – Fenton, MO (Hybrid office option)

Position Overview

The Lead Field Project Engineer will coordinate project activities between the company, suppliers, and the customer’s field construction team during the field erection and commissioning period.

Day In The Life

Report directly to the Field PE Manager and provide technical support to the customer and erection team from delivery through the end of the warranty period. Manage customer and supplier relationships, resolve field technical and logistical issues, make cost and schedule decisions, and present commercial discussions.

Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in an engineering or project‑execution role with on‑site construction/erection experience.
    • General knowledge of applicable boiler and steel construction codes (ASME/ASTM/AISC, etc.)
    • Skill in reviewing and understanding Contract Specifications
    • Proficient critical‑thinking skills – ability to resolve technical queries and assess cost/schedule impacts
    • Strong leadership and coordination skills with internal, subcontract, and detail resources
    • Proficient review and interpretation of supplier drawings and technical documents
    • Experience as technical lead and point of contact for customer/erector and supply base
  • BS degree in Engineering or equivalent 4‑yr degree.
  • SQL/VBA database training or experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 20% required.
  • Pre‑employment drug screen and background check required.
