- Design, configure, and service technically complex building control systems for the customer's facility.
- Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, schedules and electrical schematics as required.
- Develop and test software programs necessary to operate the system per customer facility requirements.
- Coordinate and create necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals, services and/or installation.
- Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for assigned jobs.
- Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required.
- Assist in validation of complete system functionality and solve problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
- Provide field change information to the team for the creation of as-built drawings and software.
- Keep management and JCI contractor and customer informed of job progress and issues.
- Assist in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on the total building control system.
- Participate in coordination and release meetings with sales and service operations.
- Perform value engineering to provide cost-effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- May provide work direction to Service Controls Technician I and Senior I and Senior II Controls Technicians.
- Adhere to safety standards and maintain a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
Required
- Demonstrated knowledge of the HVAC industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems.
- Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols (e.g., LON, BACnet).
- Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience.
- Demonstrated advanced computer skills, particularly computer-related drafting tools.
Preferred
- Bachelor's/associate's degree in engineering and/or minimum seven (7) years’ experience.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $36.59 - $50.29. Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role. However, we recognize that exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that exceed the typical profile.
