Senior Process Engineer CEM – Ste. Genevieve Cement, MO
The Senior Process Engineer leads plant discussions and investigations to improve throughput, efficiency, quality, and environmental performance. Through data analysis, field measurements, and conversations with employees, the engineer diagnoses issues and develops solutions, acting as an influencer to move the plant toward greater performance. Relocation assistance is provided for candidates outside this area.
What You'll Accomplish- The Senior Process Engineer provides technical support to the plant’s production, quality, and environmental functions. Understands strategies, priorities, and optimization techniques that assist the plant in attainment of plant and company objectives. Evaluates operations, processes, and trends through the use of audits and systematic approaches (Six Sigma, RCFA, SPC, etc).
- Provides technical support on implementation of new equipment and/or new procedures including training of plant personnel as required. Serves as coach/mentor to CP’s in process and other departments.
- Coordinates and participates in improving the Plant’s technical capabilities, initiating process optimization in collaboration with Quality, Production and Maintenance to ensure maximum and efficient utilization of the plant’s equipment. This position has a requirement of elevating the technical knowledge and practices of all facets of the operation.
- Is seen as a developmental position providing a full spectrum exposure to cement plant operations. Successful incumbents may be considered for advancement opportunities into supervisory or managerial positions.
- Ensures compliance with internal control procedures – communicating problems in operations, unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law.
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas, promoting a culture of safety.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree - Field of Study Preferred:
Chemical Engineering, Automation Engineering, similar disciplines - Required Training/
Certifications:
Minimum 5 years of cement plant experience - Required Technical
Skills:
Strong computer expertise in, but not limited to, Excel, Access, IP21, SAP, and SPC.

Additional Requirements- Promotes safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and the proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including, but not limited to, respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
