EHS Intern - Summer

Bunzl North America is recognized as a Great Place to Work®! We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern to join our team for summer 2026. The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern will support the EHS team with a primary focus on updating policies, procedures, and documentation, as well as assisting with audit templates and guidelines. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to EHS programs, regulatory compliance, and corporate safety documentation in a professional business environment.

Department: Environmental Health & Safety

Duration: Summer 2026 (8‑12 weeks, dates flexible)

Schedule: FT M-F 8am to 5pm (Onsite M‑TH and remote on Friday)

• Assist with reviewing, updating, and organizing EHS policies, procedures, and related documentation
• Support the development and maintenance of audit templates, checklists, and guidelines
• Help ensure EHS documents are current, accurate, and aligned with internal standards and regulatory requirements
• Assist with document version control and formatting consistency across EHS materials
• Organize and maintain digital records and files within document management systems
• Collaborate with EHS team members and other departments as needed
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and special EHS‑related projects

• Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Ability to format and edit professional documents efficiently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Interest in workplace safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement

• Previous internship or coursework related to EHS, safety, or compliance
• Familiarity with audits, risk assessments, or regulatory frameworks (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
• Experience working with policy or technical documentation

• Practical experience supporting EHS programs in a corporate setting
• Exposure to real‑world safety and compliance documentation and audits
• Development of professional communication and documentation skills
• Mentorship from experienced EHS professionals
