This role is a hands-on manufacturing engineering position responsible for supporting production, improving processes, and driving efficiency across operations.

You will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing manufacturing systems while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

* Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and systems.

* Analyze existing processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and resolve production issues, performing root cause analysis.

* Recommend and implement process improvements related to workflow, equipment, and layout.

* Support production and maintenance teams with technical problem solving.

* Assist with machine setup, equipment troubleshooting, and resolving product deviations.

* Perform in-process checks to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards.

* Collaborate across teams to support operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and process records.

* Handle sensitive technical and manufacturing information in accordance with company policies.

Essential Skills

* Mechanical engineering background.

* Experience in metal fabrication and manufacturing.

* Proficient in troubleshooting production and process-related issues.

* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and engineering principles.

* Effective communication across production, engineering, and leadership teams.

* Ability to analyze data and independently solve complex problems.

* Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.

* 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.

* Experience working in metal fabrication, welded assemblies, or similar environments preferred.

* Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

* Ability to build relationships across departments and support team collaboration.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
