Geotechnical Engineer

Location: St. Louis

* Perform geotechnical investigations, including planning, field exploration, laboratory testing coordination, and data reduction.
* Prepare geotechnical reports, foundation recommendations, slope stability analyses, and settlement evaluations.
* Support design of foundations, retaining structures, embankments for roadways and railways, flood control systems and pavement systems.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, and environmental engineers.
* Assist with construction support services such as submittal reviews, field observations, and problem resolution.
* Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project coordination activities.
* Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical development within the team.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering required.
* Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
* Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
* Experience working on geotechnical projects in transportation corridors, site development, facilities and water/wastewater systems preferred.
* Proficiency in geotechnical software such as Geo Studio, LPILE, SLIDE, PLAXIS, or similar tools.
* Familiarity with subsurface exploration techniques and laboratory testing standards.
* Strong understanding of soil-structure interaction and geotechnical design principles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical report writing.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
* Willingness to travel for field assignments and client meetings.
* Valid driver’s license required.
