PositionSenior Data Scientist – St. Louis, MO
Responsibilities- Contribute to development of analytics-driven product pipelines, computational tools and databases for mining and visualizing large data sets.
- Perform statistical analysis, predictive modeling and experimental design.
- Use advanced mathematical models, machine learning algorithms and optimization methods to deliver business insights.
- Develop reports on model inputs and outputs, observed outputs and business performance.
- Communicate analytical insights to cross-functional stakeholders to drive business decision-making.
- Ph.D. in Operations Research, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or closely related quantitative field.
- 1 year experience building deterministic optimization algorithms; building data models using R and/or Python; developing predictive models; designing experiments; identifying limitations in data; using Python to implement large scale linear and mixed integer models; applying mathematical models, decision analysis, stochastic models, system dynamics and forecasting; and communicating technical analyses to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 6 months experience using CPLEX, Xpress and/or Gurobi to implement large scale optimization models.
- Experience with machine learning algorithms, including Random Forest, Ensembles and SVM, with Scikit-Learn, Pandas and Numpy.
- Up to 10% travel in the U.S. Telecommuting permitted from home office location within reasonable commuting distance of St. Louis, MO up to 3 days per week.
