Jacobs is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer/Construction Administrator with an engineering/construction background to join our team in St. Louis, MO. In this key position, you will help manage and document all on‑site operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires leadership to coordinate with Site Team Leads and Inspection Crew, enforce safety compliance, manage resources, and maintain seamless communication between field teams and project management.
You’ll drive productivity, resolve challenges proactively, and serve as a member of Jacobs’ team delivering exceptional results—while applying Geotechnical, Civil and Structural engineering principles to ensure the work is completed per the project Design.
- Weekly Transmittal Prep
- Prepare Weekly Transmittal Folders
- Download Subcontractor reports and file into appropriate server/transmittal folder locations
- Package Subcontractor reports for Program Lead Review
- Control Docs updated weekly and put into appropriate server/transmittal folder locations
- Move reviewed/signed Jacobs Inspection reports from One Drive to appropriate server/transmittal folder locations
- Populate and update inspection log based on Site Team Lead and inspector coordination
- Daily Field Reports
- Daily Field Reports (Overall and Structural) completed from One Note notes and put into the Server
- Daily Site Photos uploaded to Server
- Review and coordinate scope applicable Design Changes, RFIs, Submittals and coordinate with appropriate Site Team Lead to direct applicable information to inspectors assigned to their inspections
- Facility Grid
- Populate and update NCR/Quality Incidents within Facility Grid from information provided by Site Team Leads
- Document SOP’s for common work tasks
- Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Knowledge of or basis in construction quality control and change management with emphasis on geotechnical aspects (earthwork, foundations, soil testing) preferable.
- Familiarity with building codes, inspection processes, and safety standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft One Note, Procore and other project documentation tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Engineer‑in‑Training or Construction Management Certification
- Experience with ASTM, MoDOT and AASHTO geotechnical testing standards.
- Knowledge of subsurface investigation techniques and risk mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of constructability of earthen projects, structures, pavements, and utilities.

The base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $85,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
