Role Overview
An employee-owned, nationally recognised design-build construction firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to join its growing engineering team in St. Louis. - Partner with construction and preconstruction teams to develop creative structural solutions during project planning and estimating
- Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types across the U.S.
- Prepare calculations, design reports, and technical documentation for permit and construction phases
- Collaborate with drafters, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated project delivery
- Conduct design reviews and peer checks to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and cost optimisation
- Support the delivery of projects by providing practical, buildable engineering solutions
- 3‑5+ years of structural engineering experience within building design
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis) or related field
- Experience with light‑gauge steel and wood design preferred
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Excel
- Familiarity with structural analysis tools (e.g., RAM, RISA, SAP
2000) advantageous - Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and design standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across project teams
