Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering with 0-2 years experience
  • Proficiency in Solid Works for 3D modeling, Flow Simulation, and detailed design
  • Experience with Orcad for schematic capture and PCB layout a plus
  • Competency with hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and drill presses
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interface with customers, vendors and internal teams
  • Experience with motion controllers and automation is a plus
  • U.S. Citizenship

Westar Display Technologies is a leading supplier of display quality assurance (QA) and automated optical measurement systems, as well as video processing solutions, to companies worldwide. We specialize in designing and manufacturing high‑precision, one‑of‑a‑kind electro‑mechanical systems used for display testing and measurement.

We are seeking an Entry‑Level Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply both your mechanical engineering knowledge and hands‑on skills in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and fabricate detailed parts required to mount instruments, lighting systems, and other components onto equipment
  • Create and update assembly and detailed drawings for automated display measurement equipment
  • Program and install motion automation using Galil or other motion controllers
  • Install commercial and custom software onto system PCs
  • Conduct test procedures on both incoming assemblies and outgoing systems to ensure quality and performance
  • Interface with and provide instructions to outside vendors, including metal fabricators, machine shops, and metal finishers
  • Lead the assembly of 5‑axis motion‑based systems in our facility, perform quality checks, disassemble systems for shipment, and travel domestically and internationally to install systems on the customer’s site
