Responsibilities- Support the development, manufacture, procurement, test, and product certification for Orion LRS component/system products including the Crew Module Parachutes (Main, Drogue, Pilot, Forward Bay Cover), Parachute Deployment System (Mortars), Crew Module Uprighting System, etc.
- Support Orion LRS Subsystem Integration
- Develop and/or maintain product performance specifications, statements of work, and supplier data requirements for LRS components
- Maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical analyses necessary to support LRS components
- Provide requirements flow-down, verification, and maintain technical baseline at the suppliers
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university, or in a related discipline
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
- Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
- Basic knowledge/experience with Mechanical hardware components and systems and/or soft goods (material for parachutes, etc.)
- Familiarity with engineering principles and processes
- Knowledge of requirement definition, verification, and product certification for spaceflight
- Experience with System and/or Subsystem Integration

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
