The Opportunity

Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams in the Power Providers Market Sector, supporting Nuclear projects and building critical infrastructure. Provide electrical engineering design support for power systems including duct bank design, cable tray design, grounding, lighting, and other systems for nuclear facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisory role.
  • Apply advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges within electrical engineering, contributing to innovative solutions.
  • Utilize digital design tools (CAD, BIM, 3‑D modeling) to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation and drawings.
  • Ensure technical quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance while coordinating across departments, teams, and stakeholders.
  • Supervise engineering technicians and support staff, overseeing conceptual and detailed design activities to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Establish, communicate, and enforce design and graphic standards.
  • Review project requirements to determine correct formats and deliverable content.
  • Promote quality across projects, groups, and sections.
  • Review design inputs for consistency and compliance.
  • Prepare and coordinate design deliverables in accordance with BV Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Improve integration, coordination, and communication across disciplines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of design guides, standards, and processes.
  • Lead or participate in process improvement and change management initiatives.
  • Apply sound engineering fundamentals and established design practices in developing deliverables.
  • Exercise judgment, make work‑related decisions, and guide other professionals.
  • Coordinate deliverable presentations and delegate production design or electronic applications.
  • Monitor production to assure consistency, budget, and schedule of deliverables.
  • Establish drawing control methods and maintain historical records.
  • Program control systems or participate in plant start‑up activities related to specialized expertise.
  • Lead or support development of new or updated design applications and processes.
  • Coordinate with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development.
  • Support field activities as needed.
  • Manage multiple discipline areas or groups.
  • Communicate project design requirements, progress, and schedules.
  • Identify key client interests and drivers, communicate them to the team, and develop approaches to accommodate concerns.
  • Lead development and communication of design standards and process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify training and development needs and support personnel development for supervised staff.
  • Champion development and improvement of project tools and software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology (required).
  • Bachelor degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology (preferred).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Typically a minimum of 15 years related work experience.

  • Position is conditional on satisfying citizenship requirements under Code of Federal Regulations 10 CFR 810.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days, based on performance and work assignments.
Compensation Transparency

Annual compensation ranges for Colorado: $133,881 – $223,575. Final compensation is determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, internal alignment, and geographic location.
