Diminishing Manufacturing Sources And Material Shortages (DMSMS) Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to join our team. This role involves working on the entire production cycle of our programs, with a focus on electrical components, assemblies, and managing diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS).

• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
• MUST have a BS Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (No "EE Technology" Degrees please!)
• Experience with one or more of the following:
  Obsolescence Management, DMS, Parts Management, managing Bills of Material (BOMs), researching alternate components
• Five or more years of experience in an Obsolescence Management / DMSMS / Component Engineering position where this was a key element of primary responsibilities

• Experience with the client
• Military experience
• Avionics experience

• Apply engineering knowledge to evaluate new components for assembly and subassembly design
• Support subcontractors and suppliers to ensure electronic components are qualified per contract and Parts Management Plan
• Recommend new and alternate electrical components for new product development and legacy programs
• Conduct obsolescence forecasting and monitoring using various tools and surveys
• Develop obsolescence mitigation options and business case analyses
• Lead periodic DMS meetings with internal and external customers
• Develop technical and cost proposals
• Review and assist in the implementation of DoD Parts Management program requirements
