Roadway Engineer I
Parsons is now hiring for a Roadway Engineer I to join our St Louis team supporting major regional road and highway projects. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside a world-class team of civil engineers at one of the top engineering firms in the infrastructure space!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborate often with senior engineers, perform various roadway engineering and design assignments requiring the application of engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity
- Utilize drafting and modeling software, tools, and programs, to develop conceptual and detailed designs
- Perform design calculations including material quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates
- Assist in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects
- Assist in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
What Skills & Qualifications You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- 3 years or more of related work experience with road and highway projects
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate is essential
- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration is desirable, but not required
- Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D, Micro Station Geopak and/or Open Roads, is required
- The ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team
Salary Range: $63,600.00 - $
