The Senior Power Electrical Engineer will lead design projects for utility-scale power generation and renewable energy. Responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers, managing client relationships, and driving marketing and proposal activities. The role requires significant experience in power plant systems, renewable energy design, and the ability to work independently or as a team lead.

• Lead and coordinate power generation design projects, including renewable energy (PV, BESS, microgrid) and balance‑of‑plant systems.
• Mentor young engineers and direct the activities of other engineering professionals.
• Support client relationships and lead marketing activities such as proposal technical writing, fee builds, and work breakdown structure development.
• Conduct project reviews with Project Manager and Project Controller as needed.
• Perform power system studies, protection and motor control design, and equipment specification development.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical power generation and renewable energy design.
• Professional Engineering license (PE or P.Eng) recognized by the local licensing board.
• Extensive experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard power sector design software (PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Auto Pipe, Revit).

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems Engineering with an Electrical Power emphasis.
• 15+ years’ experience in electrical power generation and renewable energy design.
• Field experience, including startup and commissioning.
• Experience with renewable energy (PV, BESS, etc.) and DER or "microgrid" projects.
• Previous experience with an engineering power consulting firm.
• Willingness to grow into a team lead, section manager or business class leadership role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently and lead multi‑discipline consulting teams.
• Extensive knowledge of three‑phase electrical power, protection and control design, system grounding, and related activities such as lighting and life safety systems.
• Instrumentation and controls experience with DCS and PLC systems is a plus.
• Expectation of less than 10% travel for client meetings, vendor visits, and project site visits.
