Position Overview

We are seeking a Civil Engineer with a deep specialization in Water Resources to architect the future of our region's hydrological systems. In this role, you will transition from simple data analysis to high-stakes project leadership, steering the planning, design, and implementation of essential water-related projects that define the landscape of St.
Louis and beyond.

Core Responsibilities
- Hydraulic & Hydrologic Mastery:
Conduct rigorous H&H studies and complex analyses using industry-standard modeling software to ensure robust system performance. - Strategic Design & Implementation:
Architect comprehensive plans, specifications, and cost estimates for high-impact WRE projects, including stormwater management and floodplain mitigation. - Technical Stewardship:
Prepare and present sophisticated technical reports to clients and stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable recommendations. - Multidisciplinary Integration:
Collaborate seamlessly with engineers, planners, and environmental scientists to integrate water resource solutions into broader civil frameworks. - Regulatory Authority:
Ensure absolute compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, serving as a primary point of contact for MSD (Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District) standards. - Digital Innovation:
Utilize AutoCAD and GIS to develop high-fidelity drawings and models that serve as the blueprint for community safety and water quality. - Project Documentation:
Maintain meticulous records and documentation to ensure project milestones are met with precision and technical accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering. - Licensure:
Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license. - Experience:
Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in the study and design of WRE projects. - Software Proficiency:
Expert command of AutoCAD, GIS, and MS Office Suite, alongside functional experience in hydraulic modeling software. - Citizenship:
Must be a U.S. citizen or legal alien worker.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced
Education:
Master of Science (M.S.) in Civil or Water Resources Engineering. - Senior Expertise: 6–8 years of experience leading complex Water Resources initiatives.
- Regional Expertise:
Deep familiarity with MSD's Plan Preparation Guidelines and Specifications. - Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written skills with a proven ability to lead stakeholder presentations.
