The Sourcing Manager, New Product Development plays a key role in enabling successful product launches and electronics planning by leading sourcing and procurement activities throughout the product development lifecycle. This role bridges strategy and execution, serving as a primary electronics procurement partner to Engineering, R&D, Product Management, and Supplier Quality to ensure supplier readiness, cost competitiveness, and material availability for new product introductions.
This is an individual contributor position that may provide functional leadership to project‑based teams or junior sourcing resources but does not carry full organizational or people‑management responsibility.
- Act as procurement lead for electronics commodities within New Product Development
- Lead NPI project execution by setting priorities, managing cross‑functional teams, and facilitating design documentation reviews supporting quality gates
- Drive production ramp through sustaining teams
- Own sourcing and launch readiness activities, including RFQs, cost and quote analysis
- Handle material buys for samples and production, and provide executive reporting on program status
- Assist Engineering team in the design cycle – Voice of procurement
- Lead special projects such as end‑of‑life products and factory implementations/withdrawals
- B.S. in business, supply chain management, or related technical field
- 5-7 years progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, operations, or related technical field; exposure/familiarity with electronics sourcing
- Working knowledge of PCBA sourcing, contract manufacturing, plant investment
- Demonstrated experience in New Product Development/Introduction
- Senior leader/Stakeholder communication and presentation experience
- ERP/MRP experience in Oracle or related systems
- Analytical, high degree of autonomy, command of procurement theory and process
- Domestic and international up to 10%
