Job DescriptionParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Bridge Engineer to join our team in St. Louis
. In this role you will work with a world‑class team of engineers on major infrastructure projects.
- Perform a variety of structural engineering duties on infrastructure projects.
- May function as discipline Project Engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the group.
- May plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering unit.
- Lead other Engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth in the Quality Improvement Process.
- Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
- Ensure compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract.
- Help determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical duties.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 10+ years of related work experience.
- Professional Engineer registration in the field of Civil or Structural required.
- Familiarity with industry practices and regulations required.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.
- Potential to perform in a lead capacity.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Project management experience preferred but not required.
- Enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team‑oriented environment.
- Experience designing complex bridge structures.
- Experience on large design‑build projects and other alternative delivery projects.
- Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.
- Recommends and prepares technical papers.
- Ability to determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule on a project.
