- Provides sound engineering principles for the implementation of new manufacturing equipment, processes and procedures.
- Studies & recommends techniques to improve existing equipment and processes.
- Coordinates design activities and installations with other departments.
- Provide process line technical support including, but not limited to, investigating improvement opportunities, troubleshooting equipment, and addressing operator inquiries as requested.
- Complete engineering calculations to validate implementation of new equipment or processes.
- Represents engineering department on cross functional teams.
- Prepares specifications for equipment and installation and secures bids from suppliers & contractors.
- Analyzes equipment and contractor installation specifications.
- Prepares layout & design drawings as required.
- Requisition s material and equipment for capital projects.
- Plans, schedules and supervises construction activities and participates in startup and evaluation of new equipment.
- Prepares progress reports on capital projects.
- Maintains engineering documentation including project files, datasheets, drawings, schematics, and revisions.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree.
- 5+ years experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
- Process and operations knowledge.
- Excellent computer hardware and software applications knowledge.
- Data driven decision making;
Effective use of process automation tools and IT. - Thorough & organized.
- Confident and steady under pressure.
- Manufacturing Methods and Procedure.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% and be available to travel significantly while on larger projects.
