Senior Mechanical Estimator

gpac is partnered with a local mechanical contractor specializing in complex commercial and industrial HVAC systems. Your Role

As an HVAC/Mechanical Estimator, you'll play a vital role in delivering accurate project estimates and contributing to a wide variety of Commercial and Industrial projects.

  • Project Assessments:
    Collaborate with Project Managers and sales teams to analyze project requirements and produce accurate cost and time estimates.
  • Diverse Projects:
    Provide estimates for a mix of plan and spec, design/build, and LEED certification projects.
  • Detailed Estimations:
    Use Auto Bid (or similar software) to review project specs, read blueprints, research materials, evaluate bids, and craft cost proposals.
  • Cross-Department

    Collaboration:

    Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Industry Expertise:
    Stay informed on HVAC trends, energy codes, and regulatory requirements to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Organized Records:
    Maintain accurate and accessible documentation of completed estimates.
What You Bring
  • 5+ Years of Estimating

    Experience:

    Solid background in HVAC estimating, ideally with Auto Bid proficiency.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    Experience in Commercial and Industrial projects, with a focus on ductwork, piping, and control systems.
  • Strong Communication

    Skills:

    Ability to collaborate with customers, teams, and stakeholders effectively.
  • Regulatory Familiarity:
    Understanding of energy codes and LEED requirements.
  • Detail-Oriented Approach:
    Strong organizational skills for managing estimates and documentation.
