Senior Mechanical Packaging Specialist

Position Summary

As a Senior Mechanical Packaging Specialist at Nestlé, you will provide technical expertise in mechanical packaging processes, focus on design selection, evaluation, and optimization of packaging solutions for wet and dry pet food products.

• Lead design and development of innovative packaging systems that meet operational targets, compliance, and contribute to departmental results.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and production teams to establish packaging specifications aligning with product formulations and branding.
• Evaluate and recommend sustainable packaging materials and processes to optimize efficiencies and cost.
• Provide technical guidance and strategic support for production facility improvements.
• Manage multiple complex projects with clear objectives, timelines, and budgets.
• Develop and maintain packaging specifications and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Travel 50–60% of the time.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of experience in pet food, CPG, manufacturing, or industrial environments, OR

• High School Diploma/GED and 9+ years of mechanical packaging experience or relevant internship experience in pet food, CPG, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Must be able to travel 50–60% of the time.

Competitive total rewards package including 401(k) with company match, healthcare coverage, and other benefits. Salary range is $89,000–$134,000.
