Job Overview
The St. Louis County Department of Transportation and Public Works is seeking a Professional Engineer (Civil Engineer or related field) to join the Civil Plan Review section of the Project Development Division. The position is based at the Department of Transportation and Public Works offices in Creve Coeur.
Typical starting salary: $70,720 - $84,864 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities- Oversee the design and review of complex plans for bridge and highway construction, building construction, facilities / existing facility improvements, land surveys, subdivisions, real estate development, and excavation projects.
- Ensure that designs follow engineering and architectural specifications and codes.
- Seal plans as required under immediate personal supervision.
- Inspect construction sites and check for compliance with design plans, standards, County codes, and regulations, and determine appropriate action for revisions if necessary.
- Prepare reports of work in progress.
- Meet with staff or other assigned professionals to discuss project status.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
- Registered Professional Engineer by the Missouri Board of Engineers, Architects and Land Surveyors, or a Registered Professional Architect by the same board.
- Five years of practical experience.
