Roadway Engineer

Job Description

Parsons is now hiring for a Roadway Engineer I to join our St Louis team supporting major regional road and highway projects. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside a world‑class team of civil engineers at one of the top engineering firms in the infrastructure space!

• Collaborate often with senior engineers, performing various roadway engineering and design assignments requiring the application of engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity.
• Utilize drafting and modeling software, tools, and programs to develop conceptual and detailed designs.
• Perform design calculations, including material quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates.
• Assist in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• 3 years or more of related work experience with road and highway projects.
• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) Certificate is essential.
• Professional Engineer (PE) Registration is desirable, but not required.
• Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD Civil3D, Micro Station Geopak, and/or Open Roads, is required.
• The ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team.
