We're looking for a
Control Systems Engineer
to join our team! This position will focus on managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, has a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined. The position will generally be task oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work.
Location:
This position is Hybrid commuting to our St. Louis office. Additionally, the role requires 30-40% travel as needed to client locations in Iowa and Ohio.
Job Duties
- Performing Gray Matter services to meet client needs, with a specific focus on Control Systems
- Designing, developing and implementing solutions to resolve customer issues
- Consulting with and training end users on new applications
- Assisting in project development and planning.
- Performing onsite pilots, FAT testing, SAT testing, and demos as needed
- Perform onsite start-up and commissioning.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable). An equivalent combination of experience, training, and active credentials may also be considered
- 4+ years of relevant working experience with:
- PLC Programming:
Schneider Modicon, Allen-Bradley, Compact Logix, Control Logix, Schneider Electric, and Siemens - Control Systems implementation, design, installs, and troubleshooting
- HMI/SCADA development experience
- Experience with industrial application programming languages
- Experience reading Electrical Schematics
- Networking experience (Ethernet IP, Modbus, etc.)
- Acute attention to detail and process, Strong ability to solve problems and research solutions and Excellent customer service attitude

- PLC Programming:
The target annual base compensation range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000, based upon relevant qualifications.
