Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects
You've never been satisfied with "good enough." You want to make an impact, not just manage projects, but change how the world gets built. At Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects, you'll do exactly that. You'll help develop and deliver the factories, grids, transit systems, and public infrastructure that keep communities moving - and do it smarter, safer, and more sustainably than ever before.
You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold - project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists who blend real-world experience with digital innovation and AI. Together, we're transforming how capital projects are planned, managed, and executed, creating a better way to build for the future.
Because "good enough" builds the past. You're here to build what's next, on a team that outperforms every norm.
The work:
- Demonstrate project controls expertise gained through experience on large capital projects, with a preference for Utility New Gas Generation projects, and support project teams in the successful planning and execution of assigned projects.
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, plans, and WBS structures and apply fundamental scheduling and cost control techniques throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, analyze, and document schedule and cost variances between planned, earned, and actual performance and assess potential impacts to project milestones, completion dates, and overall project outcomes.
- Perform schedule analytics to evaluate schedule quality, critical and near-critical paths, progress, contractor performance trends, and compliance with contractual scheduling requirements.
- Work collaboratively in an integrated project environment consisting of client personnel, engineering firms, EPC contractors, OEMs, construction contractors, and other project delivery partners.
- Promote safe behavior and ensure adherence to all applicable safety requirements and project site rules.
- Implement Accenture and client Project Management Standards across cost, schedule, scope, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), risk, change, and reporting to support consistent and predictable project delivery.
- Support Stage Gate reviews by developing and analyzing cost, schedule, progress, risk, and project controls information needed to assess project readiness and performance.
- Analyze contractor schedule and progress data to identify key project issues, validate reported progress, assess performance trends, and support Project Administration and Accounting in the review of contractor invoices.
- Assist in project and portfolio analysis, optimization, and reporting, including assessments of cost, schedule, and risk associated with completing planned scopes of work in alignment with approved budgets and multi-year capital plans.
- Develop project and portfolio performance metrics, dashboards, and reports that provide project leadership with timely visibility into project performance, trends, risks, and emerging issues.
- May conduct training on client Stage Gate Processes, project management standards and implementation guides, and project controls disciplines such as Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA).

- Minimum of 4 years of capital project scheduling experience on process industry projects such as power generation, oil and gas, refining, chemicals, or mining, with project values of $500 million or greater.
- High proficiency with Primavera P6 and demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules.
- Experience performing project controls analysis across schedule, cost, progress, change, risk, and reporting disciplines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, a sense of urgency, self-starter behaviors, and a demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and project controls information clearly to project managers, project leadership, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to perform field walkdown observations/inspections on foot across moderate to rough terrain and the ability to lift 25 lbs. overhead.
Bonus points to have:
- Direct capital project scheduling experience on Utility New Gas Generation projects, including Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) and/or Simple Cycle Gas Turbine projects.
